So your business information can end up in the dark web through [00:02:00] a variety of ways including data breaches. So where you are using a service and you've got your usernames, passwords, address information, maybe a credit card stored - if that website or service gets hacked leading to one of the aforementioned breaches, then your info is likely to end up in the dark web,
"Now, what does this all cost, I hear you asking. The cost of dark web monitoring can very dependent on the specific needs of the business and the level of monitoring required.
Now, some service providers will offer basic packages that may start at a few hundred pounds per year, while others may offer more comprehensive packages with more advanced features that can cost several thousand pounds per year. Typically these things are gonna be charged either in a per user or per business basis.
And custom monitoring alerts, of course, are gonna cost more than just a basic breach credential monitoring package. But in general, the cost is gonna depend on your business's specific needs. It's important to note that the cost of a monitoring service should be considered as an investment in security and protection of your business, and may ultimately save money in the long run by preventing costly data breaches."
